Yes! We offer low, medium and high intensity level fitness classes. If you are a true beginner, first of all — welcome! — and secondly, seek out one of our low intensity level classes and your instructor will give you pointers to guide you through what will be an amazing workout. Give it a try — you’ll love it! And bring your family and friends!
For every Life fitness class, you should plan to bring a towel and a bottle of water, or more if you drink a lot! Life sells water at the Commissary, too.
For indoor cycling — if you have your own cycling shoes, bring them! However, if you don’t have your own, don’t worry. We will rent them to members for $3 or have most sizes in stock for purchase. We even have socks for purchase if you forget yours.
For yoga — bring your own mat, but we do have great mats available for rent for $2.
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Did we mention hydrate? Drink a lot of water before, during and after indoor cycling!
Grab a light snack or juice at our Commissary 30 minutes before you workout. This will give you energy to help you push through and feel at the top of your game.
What To Wear
Dress for comfort — a simple tee or tank and form-fitting pants or shorts will work perfectly.
Don’t be a minute late! If you’re a new indoor cycling rider, arrive 15 minutes early and we will show you how to set up your bike properly and get you started. Bring shoes if you have them or buy or rent a pair at Life. And don’t forget your socks — but if you do, we’ve got those, too!
If you signed up in advance on our website and reserved your favorite bike location in the indoor cycling room, your name will be listed on the sign-in sheet next to your bike number. Initial the sign-up sheet when you arrive so we know you’re here. But remember! If you’re not signed in 5 minutes before your class begins, your bike may be released.
New Rider Waiver
If you’re new to indoor cycling, we need some quick info. Fill out a New Rider Waiver and review the Bike Safety Instructions when you arrive. You can also print the New Rider Waiver and bring the signed form with you to your first class. Riders under 18 years of age must have their parent or guardian sign the waiver in person.
For your first workout, shoes are on Life! Going forward, rentals are just $3. If you’re already a pro and have your own cycling shoes, we recommend using Look Delta clips, but our pedals are also SPD compatible.
Trust us on this one…you’ll want water on that bike! We have water available for sale in all of our studios, and of course, you can bring your own bottle and re-fill it at our fountains.
Life Laid Back, our yoga program uniquely blends the best of Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Anusara, Ashtanga, and Power Vinyasa yoga techniques into one all-encompassing, full-body workout. It’s not about being a “yogi” or subscribing to a particular spiritual practice. Life Laid Back makes yoga simple, accessible, fun and one of the greatest and most physical and mental workouts any one can enjoy.
Life Laid Back features three yoga workout styles: Align, which is based on Lyengar techniques (to align and center the body), Stretch, based on Anusara and Hatha techniques (to stretch, relax and condition the body), and Strengthen, based on Power and Vinyasa techniques (to tone, strengthen and challenge the body).
We offer low, medium and high intensity levels of yoga offerings in our heated studio (great for lengthening muscles and detox) or in our non-heated studio. It’s your choice! So no matter if you’re a yoga master or first timer, Life Laid Back is for you.
Workouts are either 60 or 90 minutes long, but we do offer daily lunchtime express option so you can workout for 45 minutes — we will have your lunch ready for you when you’re done!

All of the classes are designed for new students, but they can also work for the pro. The classes meet you at whatever level you are.
If you want to be able to focus on demand, access calm and control your mind, you’re going to want to meditate. The benefits of meditation are vast and scientifically proven. Do your mind and body a favor and learn meditation techniques to apply to your every day life.
At Life, we just ask you to relax, have an open mind and just go with it. Sitting still is part of the process and you will learn techniques to calm your mind and body.
Thinking is natural in meditation. Your instructor will help guide you to focus your thoughts. The more you meditate, the more you will actually strengthen and grow your brain. Learning to calm your thoughts is a big part of going to meditation at Life.
Yes! Bring your kids if they are 16 years of age or older! They must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and have no issues sitting still or with uncontrollable giggling. But yes — meditation has proven to be highly effective in teenagers. Please bring them! And anyone under the age of 16 can participate in our wonderful Life KIDS program, so please check out the schedule.
